A few days after we were forced to close on 17 March our amazing team of staff set to work creating our new HSV@Home service. HSV@Home provides you with access to a range of fantastic support to stay active from home, for free and has proven hugely popular with nearly 4500 people making use of the service since its launch!
The feedback for HSV@Home has been really positive. We have had numerous emails from members thanking us for offering such a fantastic home-based service and highlighting what an incredible difference our support is making to them personally. This feedback has been so well received and has been shared with all staff at our weekly virtual staff briefings.
In recent weeks, since it has become clear that we will remain closed for longer than we originally hoped, we have also been inundated with requests from members wanting to make a financial contribution towards the costs of us delivering our HSV@Home services whilst we remain closed.
Up until today we had no way of accepting donations, but we are pleased to say that in direct response to these requests we have now set up a GoFundMe page for Hertfordshire Sports Village.
Our GoFundMe page allows you to make a voluntary contribution towards the costs of us delivering the HSV@Home service. There is no obligation and no minimum or maximum contribution. We know that many members have said they would like to donate the equivalent of their monthly membership they would normally pay by direct debit but If you feel you have benefited from the service, we would be extremely grateful for any donation you are able to make, however big or small this may be.
You will also be able to make additional donations in future months if we remain closed and you continued to benefit from HSV@Home.
All donations we receive will be used to ensure that HSV@Home remains free for all users for the duration of our closure, whilst our normal income streams have stopped.
For your information we have continued to pay all staff during this closure to ensure we retain them in the business so that your favourite coaches and group exercise instructors will still be here to serve you when we return to normal, whenever that may be. We have done this as we know our staff are our number one asset and make a real difference to your experience as a member, but this comes at a significant cost to us as a business with no income coming in.
To help you decide whether making a voluntary donation is something you would consider doing we thought it would be useful to outline some key facts about the impact of HSV@Home since its launch:
HSV@Home Key Facts
- 13487 people have visited our HSV@Home web pages;
- 2880 people have attended a HSV@Home group exercise class on Zoom;
- 1028 people have watched one of our own classes on YouTube;
- 461 members have had a 1:1 zoom call with a member of our Health and Fitness team helping them to access HSV@Home content specific to their needs.
So, if you are in a position to be able to make a voluntary contribution towards our running costs at this time, we would be extremely grateful, and you can do so by clicking the button below.
