Hertfordshire Sports Village swimming pool in Hatfield is centrally located and minutes from Welwyn Garden City and St Albans. The Sports Village offers fun and friendly swimming lessons for children and adults to enable them to learn essential swimming skills. Hertfordshire Sports Village has a large car park which you can use if you are attending the Sports Village for swimming lessons.

Swimming lessons cost from £7.50 per session with direct debit and childcare vouchers accepted. We offer high quality, low ratio swimming lessons for a variety of ages in a modern 25 metre 8 lane swimming pool.
For children learning to swim at levels 1 and 2 we offer a 1:6 ratio in our swimming classes to ensure all the children gain confidence in the water and make progress during their swimming lessons. Many of our swimming teachers and coaches have achieved the ASA Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification so they are very experienced and well qualified in providing suitable swimming lessons for all age groups.

Kids Duckling Lessons
Our Ducklings programme is for children aged from three and a half years old.
WHEN – Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm-2.30pm or 2.30pm-3pm
Kids Learn to Swim
Learn to swim sessions for children working towards their 1-7 stages and Club Foundation. The Learn to Swim Stage 1-7 awards make up the national syllabus of learning for primary school aged children. According to Swim England ‘They reward children for their development of the essential aquatic skills they need to be confident, competent and safe in the water.’
WHEN – Monday to Friday at 4pm daily. Saturdays from 9.15am onwards.
Adults Swimming Lessons
It is never too late to learn to swim. Take swimming lessons and learn a new skill.
WHEN – Wednesdays 8.15pm - 8.45pm, or 8.45pm-9.15pm. Fridays – every 30 minutes from 12.00pm-1.30pm
1-2-1 Swimming Lessons
Our qualified swimming instructors also offer children’s swimming lessons and adult lessons on a 1-2-1 basis. This often gives children learning to swim a head start and enables them to become water confident more quickly. Swimming lessons are subject to availability and can be arranged on an individual basis.
