Update - Wednesday 14 September
Following on from our communication on Monday evening and after a review of our wall for unsupervised climbing, we are pleased to inform you that we will be in a position to open our wall for unsupervised climbing sessions on Tuesday 20 September.
We are still in the process of undertaking thorough checks and are continuing our internal audit of procedures relating to unsupervised climbing at Hertfordshire Sports Village.
Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we complete our checks. We would once again like to re-iterate that the health and safety of all users of the Sports Village is and always will be our number one priority.
We look forward to having you back with us from next Tuesday 20 September for unsupervised climbing sessions on our wall.
Monday 12 September
Following an internal audit of our procedures relating to unsupervised climbing at Hertfordshire Sports Village we have discovered some irregularities that have caused us concern. For this reason we are closing the climbing wall for unsupervised sessions on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 September whilst we check the records we have for all competent climbers.
The health and safety of all users of the Sports Village is and always will be our number one priority and we need to complete further checks of our records before we can allow unsupervised climbing access to users.
We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. We will be in contact again on Wednesday to confirm our plans for re-opening.
