Just as a reminder all our lessons are paid for via a monthly direct debit. We operate for 42 weeks of the year, breaking for two weeks over Christmas, two weeks over Easter and six weeks over the summer holidays. We take the cost of the 42 weeks lessons and divide this equally over 11 months, with no charge during August. This means you know the cost is the same each month and it’s not going up or down depending on the number of lessons per month. Where feasible, we compensate for bank holidays by adding in a lesson at the end of term, as per our website. Where we are unable to do this we credit for the missed lessons. Similarly, where a lesson maybe cancelled in advance due to an event taking place.
We continually strive to keep any increases to a minimum, however from time to time find it necessary to increase the cost of lessons due to rising overheads. This term we are increasing our prices by roughly equivalent to 50p per lesson, £2 per month. As of 1st October, the direct debit will increase from £39 per month to £41. We are investing in additional resources to ensure we can offer the high standards Hertfordshire Sports Village are known for and we are the only major lesson provider in the area, that we know of, that continue to provide swim hats at each stage, and badges and certificates as part of our package included in the monthly direct debit fee, which we think offers excellent overall value for money.
