Our Autumn swim term kicks off this week from Monday 6 September.
Some things will be slightly different when kids come back to lessons. We are pleased to inform you that swim lessons will be returning to 30 minutes in length rather than the 25 minutes we had when re-opening during the pandemic.
We announced our slight price increase a few weeks ago via email but in case you missed it, you can find further details about this below.
After careful consideration, we have also decided to change our pool entry system when attending lessons, as we enter the more changeable autumn season. Please read carefully the new changes for swim changing and entry onto poolside from Monday 6 September below:
Before Lessons
From Monday 6 September, swimmers will now be able to access the poolside for lessons via the changing rooms. We are however still requesting that, wherever possible, children arrive swim ready, promptly for their lessons and make their way through the changing rooms onto poolside just before the previous classes exit the pool. This will avoid those entering and exiting lessons congregating in the changing rooms.
Please do not enter poolside early as this can distract the class taking place. Under 8's should still be accompanied poolside to the teacher. We would encourage over 8's to be dropped off at the changing rooms, especially our older swimmers, and make their own way to their class, whilst parents make their way to our spectators gallery. All shoes should be removed before entering the changing rooms.
After Lessons
Swimmers finishing their lessons will be able to continue to use the changing rooms. We will ensure both the male and female changing area have access to a group change facility opening up additional space.
Under 8's should be collected from poolside promptly at the end of their lesson via the changing rooms. We would encourage over 8's to change independently and meet their parents in Reception.
Whilst there will now be access to the showers, we request that swimmers move quickly through the changing rooms and shower at home where possible. We will still have a one-way exit system in place so when you come out of the changing rooms, turn left and walk through the door at the end of the corridor taking you around the back of the café.
We are still encouraging the use of masks in our facility and are maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, with regular cleaning in place and sanitising stations available.
Swim Lessons Price Increase
In case you missed our email, our low ratio swim lessons have been fixed at £7.50 per lesson for a number of years now but with a mix of inflation, recent events and price increases happening at other centres in the region, we have made the decision to increase lessons by £1.
With immediate effect, all swim lessons are now £8.50 per lesson. Unlike other centres, they will still include a branded hat as well as a badge and certificate for each stage passed.
If paying by Direct Debit, your monthly payment over 11 months will be £34.00 per month from 1 September 2021. If you pay for lessons in blocks of 10, when you come to top up your/your child's account, it will be £85.00 for 10 lessons.
Remember: you can top up a swim lesson account by visiting Reception or logging onto the Home Portal. If you only have 2 lessons left, you must top up before your first lesson back, otherwise you could lose your space on our programme.
