Stretch at Home

Stretching may not be the most exciting part of working out, but doing flexibility work is just as important for a well-rounded fitness routine as strength and cardio work. Incorporating some stretching exercises into your workout schedule will help you improve flexibility, reduce tightness, and ultimately, make your workouts more efficient and safe. Tight muscles can cause undue strain on the neighboring joints during normal daily function, or they themselves can become injured. As we age, our muscles get shorter and less elastic. We need to take an active role in maintaining and improving the length of our muscles so we can continue to enjoy our abilities without pain.

Have a go at some of the stretching exercises below and add them into your daily routine whilst your at home to help relieve muscle tension and increase mobility. This will help you move through both exercise and your daily life more freely!
